Chris Zambito

Senior Project Manager, Atkins Global

Chris Zambito is a Senior Project Manager with Atkins North America. His charge is to support Atkins’ growth efforts in coastal resiliency and climate adaptation planning. Chris is a new hire to the firm and brings 20 years of experience in related fields of floodplain management, hazard mitigation, and emergency management. He most recently worked at Dewberry where he provided project management to all levels of government supporting hurricane evacuation studies for the USACE and FEMA, climate adaptation planning for the State of Florida, and hazard mitigation planning to communities in Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina. Prior to Dewberry, he worked 10 years for Hillsborough County, FL as a planner leading their Local Mitigation Strategy, FEMA Community Rating System, FEMA Flood Map Modernization, and the Post-Disaster Redevelopment Plan efforts. Chris has served as the Chair of the Florida Floodplain Managers Association for the past 2 years where the team’s efforts resulted in recognition by the Association of State Floodplain Managers as the Outstanding Chapter for 2017.
