Director, Strategic Policy Branch, Ontario Ministry of Environment and Climate Change
Karen Clark is the Director of Strategic Policy Branch at the Ontario Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change. She has been working in public policy on air quality and climate change for more than twenty years. Her branch currently leads the development of the Province of Ontario Climate Adaptation Plan. At the national level, Karen has acted as co-chair of the Buildings and Government Leadership sub-committees of the Mitigation Working Group as part of the development of the Pan Canadian Framework. Karen acted as co-chair, with Health Canada, of the CAAQS Development and Review Working Group. Karen has been Ontario’s “Super Delegate” at UNFCCC Conferences of the Parties in Lima and Paris. Karen has a Master’s degree in Public Policy and Administration from Ryerson University, a degree in law from the University of Toronto, a Master’s degree in English from the University of Victoria and an undergraduate degree in English and History from Wilfrid Laurier University.
