Rick Goldring

Mayor, City of Burlington

Rick Goldring was elected Mayor of Burlington in 2010 after serving one term as City and Regional Councillor for Ward 5. He was re-elected as Mayor in 2014.

Prior to life in municipal government, Mayor Goldring had a successful career in the financial services industry and was active with a number of community groups, including Rotary, the Burlington YMCA and the Burlington Chamber of Commerce.

Mayor Goldring is a lifelong Burlington resident and an alumnus of Nelson High School and McMaster University. He and his wife, Cheryl, have a combined seven daughters.

In addition to his role as mayor, Mayor Goldring serves on the boards of directors of the Burlington Economic Development Corporation and Burlington Hydro.

Mayor Goldring is the Chair of the Association of Municipalities of Ontario’s Large Urban Caucus. He is also a member of the Large Urban Mayor’s Caucus of Ontario.
